Stem Cells & Exosomes

What are the potential benefits of stem cells and how do they work?

Stem cells promote the repair response of diseased, dysfunctional, or injured tissue.

What is unique about stem cells is that they are multi-potential and have the ability to help form a variety of different types of tissue, including but not limited to bone, cartilage, muscle, ligament, tendon, and fat. As a result, the applications are vast and include orthopedic, degenerative, neurological, and autoimmune conditions.

We isolate a patient’s own stem cells from their own adipose (fat tissue) or bone marrow and immediately deliver those cells back into the patient, all done under local anesthetic. Our procedure is minimally invasive and performed within 2-3 hours. Recovery time is very quick. The incision is so small, no stitches are needed. There are usually minimal restrictions in resuming normal activity, but some patients do experience soreness for a few days.

Some of the conditions that can be helped with stem cells:

  • Cardiomyopathy
  • Autoimmune disease
  • Chronic degenerative joint pain
  • Joint injuries
  • Nerve pain
  • Facial rejuvenation
  • Hair loss

What are the potential benefits of stem cell alternatives and how do they work?

Umbilical Cord Blood Products

Umbilical Cord Blood Products do not contain live stem cells; however, they do contain growth factors to stimulate regeneration and growth of damaged tissues in organs and joints.

Exosomes

Exosomes are secretory vesicles (bubbles) produced by stem cells. Exosomes contain a variety of cell signaling factors that naturally initiate anti-inflammatory, immune system support, and tissue and wound healing effects. Exosomes hold the potential to increase the capacity of tissue damage repair, inflammatory response suppression, and immune system support through cell-to-cell communication attributes.

Conditions that have the potential to be helped with stem cell alternatives are similar to the conditions that may benefit from stem cell therapies.
